A Year in Film: My Favorite's of 1974

Just thought this might be a fun new source of lists. I will pick a year and pull out my favorites from said year. One could easily argue that any year in the 1970s is wrought with gems. I'll start with 1974, but I am sure I'll do the entire decade by the time this series plays itself out. Next up though, I may pick a year from the wonderful 1930s.

Really? Young Frankenstein is that old? I would have guessed late 70s early 80s.

Nice list! I love the foreign posters for "Der Dialogue" and "Terremoto". Can't wait to see your list for the super-awesome year of 1973. Speaking of which, I'm currently working on an ABC list of my favorite 70's films and, not surprisingly, the majority come from 1973 followed closely by 1974 and 1972. I think those three years were the all-time sweet spot for cinema.

Robert-Agreed, YF seems like a younger film for sure.

Shifty-I have the TERREMOTO Poster on my wall at home. Love it. Be very curious to see that 70s list when you finish sir!

To me, 1974 was the year of the porno vampire film and the year of enormous breasts: Caged Heat; Ilsa, She-Wolf of the S.S.; Double Agent 73. Guess you can tell what kind of theater I was sneaking into!
